CLASSES

FitFocused runs a range of classes in convenient locations in Lyme and Old Lyme. These classes provide excellent value for your training dollar as well as an enjoyable and supportive group atmosphere.

All our classes run on a "semester" basis - with each semester lasting 6-8 weeks, based around the Region18 school schedule.

Choose from:

  • Mind over Matter ™ - Yoga and pilates-based strength training
  • Legs Bums & Tums ™ - Cardio and strength training targetting those "problem" areas
  • SPIN and Abs - Cardio, abdominal and core training
  • Tone to the bone ™ - Cardio and resistance training using the swiss ball
  • ZUMBA® - Latin Dance inspired cardio workout which will help you laugh off between 500-800 cals/hr

Yoga position

Mind over Matter ™ is a yoga and pilates-based program suitable for all ages and all ability levels. Based at the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme, this class provides beginner and advanced modifications to provide a great start to any week.

Mind over Matter is also offered on Thursday evenings in Hadlyme. Both classes make use of weights, pilates circles and resistance bands.

Zumba Class at Hadlyme Tuesdays 9.15am

Zumba® is a Latin dance-based cardio class that will really help you burn the calories. You cannot take yourself seriously during this class and if you enjoy it, you will laugh off between 500 and 800 calories every hour!

Kick Boxing class

Legs, Bums & Tums ™ is a cardio and strength training program focusing on those "problem" places. Based at Lyme Consolidated School on the 156/Hamburg Road, this program is again suitable for all ability levels with modifications offered to beginners and advanced participants.

SPIN and Abs – is a combined workout; 45 mins of cardio using stationary spin bikes and 15 mins of abdominal and core strengthening. This program is based at my studio in Hadlyme on Tuesday evenings and Thursday mornings.

Tone to the Bone™ – is our ever-popular "ball class". Using a mix of cardiovascular intervals and resistance training using a swiss ball and weights it is a fun workout that clients return to session after session. Modifications ensure that whether you are a complete beginner with the swiss ball, or have been coming since we started - you will always get a good work out and a good laugh too!
